A trip to Munnar

I was shivering when I was waiting for the coffee I ordered. The long trip from Kochi had made me tired. I thought how excited I was yesterday . It was my first trip to Munnar. Even though I had heard it was cold here , I never expected it to be so cold. I had had my breakfast on the way. We had departed from the house so early. I was going with my uncle and aunt, who were frequent visitors to Munnar. They had been inviting us to accompany them for a long time. We arrived Munnar by 12 noon and had our lunch. We rested till evening. We had planned to visit the town during the evening. When it was evening I ordered a coffee and as I told earlier I was waiting for it. After having our tea, we started off to town. We went there on foot. As I eetered the town the atmospheric temerature suddenly rose up. I realised that that urbanisation is destroying Munnar. The place was crowdy. I could see some tamilians also. "Oh! Munnar is in the boarder of Kerala." I thought. We made some purchases. We were back by 7 o'clock to 'Elssyim gardens were we were staying.
The next we got up at 5 o'clock. I usually gets up 7 o'clock. So it was so difficult me to get up at 5. But when I thought of the sights I was going to see at Munnar I wa sonly happy to get up. We had planned to go to Iravikulam national park which is famous for 'varayadukal'(malayalam). When we reached there we were informed that inorder to get into the sanctuary we have to get into a bus which will be there every 15 minutes. Each bus can accomodate 15 people. We saw that the queue was a very long one. So we thought that we should cancel that plan. So we started of to 'Mattupetty'.

A close escape

On 2-3-09(Monday) an asteroid went pass the earth with a force of 1000 atomic bombs. It had the same mass of the rock which got blasted in Siberia in 1908.The Siberian blast in 1908 had resulted in a vast explosion but hadn't caused any life destruction because it was on a remote area. The recent one (Near Earth Object), estimated at around 30 meters in diameter, passed 40,000 miles from the Earth's surface on the night of March 2, 2009. Scientists predict that this rock(2009 DD45 )will visit us again in the future.
It is officially accepted that an asteroid had caused the extinction of dinosaurs. So the Scientists are trying to trace all the NEO's that may hit the earth. The widely accepted theory is that the dinosaurs died out over a period of months or years after the asteroid impact at Chicxulub, Mexico. Under this theory, the asteroid impact would have thrown enough dust into the atmosphere to block out the sun, leading to a cold, dark winter that directly reduced the amount of plant life on Earth. But a new team of scientists states that lots of life died immediately

Now we have been able to track about 90% of the NEO's.The 2009 DD45 was discovered only two days ago by Rob McNaught at Siding Spring Observatory in Australia, when it was a dim speck about 1.5 million kilometers away. It became brightest when it passed closest to Earth at 13:44 Universal Time, which is 5:44am Pacific Time, and has been getting dimmer ever since. At the point of closest approach 2009 DD45 was over the Pacific Ocean near Tahiti, which means it could be observed from Australia, Japan, and China, but not from North America or Europe. We will come across that asteroids in the future years
So we ought to be careful because one of those asteroids out there can lead us to extinction. But looking on the bright side if that asteroid(which caused the extinction of dinosaurs)hadn't hit the earth we won't be here talking to each other
